Summer OlympicS
— ENAMEL PINS —
TASK
Create enamel pins as a collaborative design team for the Summer Olympics for a onsite reporter to trade while in Paris for the Games. The pins, which featured unique and vibrant designs, quickly became a hit among traders and many traders eagerly requested one of every design.
CHallenge
Each pin needed to capture the spirit of the event and the city, while being on brand with both the Olympics and SBJ. However, designs could not use the olympic rings or the official font used in the 2024 campaign.
One design featured a bold, horizontal pin with a dynamic wave pattern in the iconic Olympic colors, showcasing the Eiffel Tower—symbolic of where events like beach volleyball were held. The second design was inspired by the Sports Business Journal’s weekly publication, blending the Olympics’ colors, the torch and a page-like shape at the top to give it a distinct, editorial feel. Both pins were not just keepsakes, but miniature pieces of the Olympic experience.
